  • Would you ever consider writing Loving the Legend from Sid’s POV?
I love that readers have expressed such a strong connection with Sid & Ty’s story. It means more than I could ever express and continues to blow me away. The short answer is maybe, though it isn’t a project that I am focused on or inspired creatively by right now. I’ve heard the call loud and clear. Readers want to know what Mr. King was thinking leading up to seeing Ty for the first time at his college game, did he really forget to invite Ty for Christmas, what about their first time hooking up, his experience at the Olympics when Ty was back home depressed, their separation…😍 When I wrote Loving the Legend, Ty’s voice, perspective, and character journey were the most prominent. We follow his journey as he processes grief and falls in love. That’s the story that was in my heart to tell. The reason why I may write the book from Sid’s POV is because I love Sidney King too, and while he will make many appearances in Scoring the Player as Arnaz’s best friend, I can’t say I am done exploring him as a main character. We’ll just have to see if/what form that exploration takes in the future. The good news is that part one of the All-Star party bonus scene from Sid’s POV is available here. Part two as well as an extra bonus scene will be available via the special edition hardcover here. Get it while supplies last. Make sure you sign up for my newsletter to receive it.
  • Where can I reference the trigger warnings for Loving the Legend?
TWs are provided in the book’s introductory pages. I’ve also included them here: Loving the Legend contains depictions of grief related to the tragic deaths of parents and a childhood friend. The deaths are described in two separate flashback sequences. The book also contains references to depression, drug overdose, suicidal ideation, self-medicating on prescription sleeping pills, mild dubious consent, parental abuse (flashback of side character), cardiac arrest and surgery of a loved one, single use of F-slur written as “fa—”, MC glimpse of a MF sex scene, and homophobia. There are multiple explicit sex scenes. Reader discretion is advised.
  • Will you write stories separate from the Chasing Rings series?
Yes. As an avid reader of sports romances, I was hungry for a basketball romance. While it’s a really rewarding experience to bring the Chasing Rings series to life, I have a full slate of projects queued up that do not center around basketball. In fact, there’s one underway right now centering on a couple spanning numerous years of their relationship as they navigate a pretty difficult situation. All in all, I go where inspiration leads me. I do not take writing requests or write trends.
  • Speaking of the Chasing Rings Series, when will Salem and Arnaz’s book be released?
While there isn’t a release date set at this time, I can assure you that Scoring the Player is one of—if not the most important project in the works. I can’t wait to bring their story to you.
  • How can someone get in contact with you since your Instagram and FB DMs aren’t always actively monitored?
I love to hear from readers. When I start a new project, I usually limit my time on social media and go into a creative cocoon. You can always continue to DM me, and I will try my best to respond when I come up for air. You can also reach out to my editor & social media manager, Jo (@mm.romance.reads on Insta or by email at social@kitgrey.com). However, if a question is covered here, Jo will refer readers to this document.
  • How can I make sure that I don’t miss any new and important Kit Grey news?
I’m so grateful that you want to keep up with what’s going on in my writing world. The best way to do this is any/all of the following ways: Sign up for my newsletter on my website. Join my Facebook readers’ group. Follow me on Instagram.
  • Your bio doesn’t contain a lot of personal information. Why?
I am a very private person, and there is a space of anonymity that needs to exist for my creative process to work. Due to that and a multitude of personal reasons, I generally refrain from answering personal questions. Thank you for respecting my right to privacy.
  • I don’t see my question covered here, how can I get it to you?
While I am unable to answer every question received, you can use the Contact Form on my website, www.kitgrey.com, or send an email to social@kitgrey.com, and it just may be added to this document in the future.
